MARA SAFARIS AND TANZANIA SAFARIS WITH ZANZIBAR HOLIDAY
Day
1:
Nairobi Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, after disembarking
from the aircraft, you clear customs and immigration formalities. You
will be met and transferred to your hotel which is situated within the
city centre. Overnight at the Hotel
Day 2:
Maasai Mara Traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into the
Maasai land. Red-clad, with spear Maasai warriors tend their herds of
cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large
predators. Afternoon game drive in search of wildlife. Overnight at the
Lodge
Day 3:
Maasai Mara Morning and afternoon game drives in this spectacular game
reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. The most spectacular
feature is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from
the plains of Serengeti that cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to
reach the Mara's grasslands from late June, tracked by predators: lion,
leopard, cheetah, hyena and circled by vultures as the journey unfolds.
Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent year round.
Game includes: - elephant, Black Rhino, buffalo, wildebeest, Burchell's
zebra, hartebeest, various antelope and gazelle, lion, leopard, giraffe,
elephant cheetah, hippo, crocodile and much more. Overnight at thei Lodge
Day 4:
Maasai Mara Mara Serena Safari Lodge
Day 5:
After Breakfast proceed to Lake Naivasha - the highest and purest of the
Great Rift Valley lakes. Lunch at the Club.Have an optional boat trip
on the lake. This area is famous for its birdlife - a breeding ground
for pelicans, fish eagles, cormorants and more. You will also find other
animals such as hippos, zebras antelopes, colobus monkeys. Lake Naivasha
Country Club
Day 6:
Drive to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant.
Continue to Amboseli National Park situated at the foothills of the Majestic
Mount Kilimanjaro - the highest mountain in Africa. Overnighjt at the
Lodge
Day 7:
Morning and afternoon game drives to view wildlife against the backdrop
of Mt Kilimanjaro. The park offers a wide variety of wildlife but the
principal attraction is its vast herds of elephant within the park. The
bull elephants here have some of the largest tusks in Kenya. Other game
includes: zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopard, caracal and serval
cat. The park boasts a rich bird life such as ibis, egret, avocet, common
and saddle-billed stork, secretary bird, heron, vultures, ducks, and geese.
Overnight at the Lodge
Day 8: After breakfast drive to the border post of Namanga where
you will clear the immigration formalities, change into our Tanzanian
vehicles and enter Tanzania. Drive to Arusha to your overnight lodge situated
on a working coffee plantation at the foot of Mount Meru. Mountain Village
Day 9:
Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands to your lodge situated on the rim
of the crater. The crater covers over 250 square kilometres (over 100
square miles) of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides
of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest.

Day 10:
After breakfast descend 600m (0ver 2000 feet) to the floor of the crater
for a full day crater tour with picnic lunch. Explore the forest areas
that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may
see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

Day 11:
After Early breakfast at ther lodge and depart for Arusha. Catch your
scheduled flight to Zanzibar. This ancient island was once ruled by sultans
of Oman; pirates and explorers considered it their stepping stone into
the African Interior. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your
hotel.
Day 12:
Have Breakfast at the hotel then proceed for a half day city and spice
tour. The guided tour of the historical town includes City market, the
Anglican Church, Zanzibar Museum and Sultans Palace. The architecture
of the stone town captivates the eye. Wooden Arab doors are ornately carved,
some with pointed brass bosses. There is so much history to Zanzibar that
you find acute juxtapositions. The Cathedral church was built over the
former slave market, its high altar on the site of the whipping post.
Continue on the Spice Tour which is sure to sharpen your senses. Drive
through the countryside to visit the spice plantations with an opportunity
to pick, smell and savour exotic fruits and spices.Dinner overnight at

Day 13:
Breakfast at your hotel. Full Day at leisure.Overnight at the Hotel
Day 14:
Have breakfast ,then will be transfered to the airport for your onward
flight
